Chatham Township Train Station Parking

Thank you to Shannon Aronson (and the KW Premier Property Team) for gathering and sharing the following info:

No parking in the township, only in the boro. 2 year wait list. People park and take train from summit typically. All my best, Trish Giassa

There is no parking for Township residents. If they get to train station by 6:15am there are some daily spots for 5.50 a day. Only Borough can get parking and the wait list is about two years. -Liz Landy, Keller Williams

I believe there are 30 "public"-NJ transit) spots, but have to get there really early. The Township peope, usually, park in Summit. Many commuters have Vespas. Fish and Game Club on Fairmount allows parking in their lot from Labor Day 'til Memorial Day, if you are a member, for somewhere around $500. I believe the wait list is 2 yrs. I find an elderly couple within walking distance and rent a spot in their driveway. -Gail A. Middleton CRB,GRI

Waitlist is about 1.5 yrs as of a few months ago, down from 3 years. Call town clerk to verify. Yes there are "secret" lots - business owners will rent their parking spots out - it changes as to who is avail when, just have the new owners ask around. Some people get dropped off, others bike or moped in. Others go to Summit and pay the $10/day non-res. There are also a few daily spots in the Boro, they go fast and EARLY. Also Township people cannot park at the boro. -Jason Kay
