So much fun at the Compass holiday party, I was so excited to meet the CEO, Robert Reffkin. He has over 22K+ agents in his Fortune 500 Company and he still made time to celebrate the holidays with Northern New Jersey Agents. When we met, I told him that I thought he's "a genius, extraordinary, and an inspiration". I proceeded to say like Einstein, Beethoven, and Thomas Edison. The people that know me, understand where I am going with this...
My family teases me that I think most people are on "the spectrum". Yup, I said it. Look I am not a doctor, I have no right to state any of this, it is all my opinion. I need to note of course, that I am self diagnosed with ASD. Let's be clear here, ASD, Autism Spectrum Disorder doesn't mean you are broken, and I don't even believe it's a bad thing. In fact, the word "disorder" makes no sense really, It's more like a characteristic trait than a disorder!
Truthfully ASD affects one's socialization and communication skills, it's a developmental disability that is typically diagnosed as early as age 2, nationally 1 in 44 children are diagnosed, and the spectrum is different for everyone. For example, I'm overly & awkwardly social, miss some social cues, (as you can see in the photos), sometimes stumble over words, but I am one of the hardest working authentic people you will ever meet.
I'm really attempting to communicate that there are some individuals that take their interests and soar like eagles to contribute to their community, as masters. ULTRA high-functioning in certain areas of one's life shines through, for some people. For example, the successes Robert has accomplished in the past 10 years with Compass. Maybe even my little house tour could fall within this kind of mastery...
