Township Information
Harding Township is a township in Morris County and is located within the Raritan Valley region within the New York Metropolitan area. The township was formed as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on September 1, 1922. Described by The New York Times as "one of the most restrictive and elegant of New Jersey's residential suburban areas" titled as an "affluent Morris County township", the community has historically been one of the state's highest-income localities.
Some of the county estates have been listed on the National Register of Historic Places and even some have nonprofit organizations´ support that ensures the retention of the original nature of the properties.

The Harding Township School District is a community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from Harding Township, students in ninth to 12th grade attend high school through the Madison Public School system, which has a district's average test ranking of 9/10 and is in the top 20% of public schools in New Jersey.
