South Orange and Maplewood residents share a great public school system. From elementary school to high school. Students are encouraged to participate in a range of sports offered through the school and outside of the classroom learning experiences. ESL classes are offered in select schools.

Recreation

The Maplewood Recreation & Cultural Affairs strives to provide recreational activities ranging from park activities to camp programs and arts & crafts. The community pool offers a great escape from the heat in the summer months and is open from the end of May to Labor Day.
 
 

Township Organizations

The Newcomers Club

The Newcomers Club of South Orange Maplewood offers a wide variety of programs, events, and activities as a way to connect new residents and their new town and fellow neighbors. Meetings are on the first Wednesday of every month at Morrow Memorial Methodist Church in Maplewood ad events include a wine experience, Movie night, child playgroups, and book clubs.
