South Orange and Maplewood residents share a great public school system. From elementary school to high school, students are encouraged to participate in a range of sports offered through the school and exposed to outside-of-the-classroom learning experiences. ESL classes are offered in select schools.

The Baird in South Orange offers arts and crafts for the whole family in a beautiful 100-year-old Tudor-esque building in the park, conveniently located across from the Baird is the public pool. The Newcomers Club
The Newcomers Club of South Orange Maplewood offers a wide variety of programs, events, and activities as a way to connect new residents and their new town and fellow neighbors.
