West Orange has been offering tremendous public school education since 1859, with the opening of the historic Washington Elementary School. Today, there are eleven schools, including a full-day kindergarten, seven elementary schools, and a state-of-the-art high school campus that rivals a university campus. Equipped with all the latest technology, a brand new athletic complex, award-winning art and science programs, students are given the tools to excel and grow in a competitive yet nurturing environment.
